Renowned for providing discerning guests with exceptional experiences, award-winning travel company Ker & Downey® Africa has launched a 9 day safari in Botswana that includes a ‘million-star’ experience in a luxury treehouse.
Home to two UNESCO World Heritage Sites and some of the planet’s most iconic natural areas, Botswana is a safari mecca. And no one does it better than the exceptional team at Natural Selection who have scoured Southern Africa in search of the very best untouched spaces in which to establish their exclusive camps.
“Botswana is a biodiversity hotspot, blessed with some of Africa’s most beautiful reserves and an exceptional array of wildlife,” says Lisa Nel, Group Head of Product and Marketing at Ker & Downey® Africa. “Our team has hand-picked these incredible camps that offer guests one-of-a-kind experiences in the very heart of the country’s most pristine and remote regions.”
The experience begins with a private charter flight from Maun International Airport to the shimmering Makgadikgadi Salt Pans in the north east of Botswana. Here, guests will enjoy a stay at one of Africa’s most famous camps. Jack’s Camp is an opulent Moroccan-style tented retreat that pays homage to the bygone safari era of the 1940s. Guests can enjoy a plethora of activities from horse safaris, game drives, guided walking safaris, quad biking, and cultural interactions with the local Zu/’hoasi tribe, before winding down with a tea ceremony in the iconic nomadic Persian tea tent.
The journey continues with a scenic light aircraft flight to the famous Khwai Private Reserve for a stay at Tuludi – a luxury camp with raised treehouse style rooms and breathtaking views of the surrounding seasonal floodplains of the Okavango. In the late afternoon of day five, guests will be whisked away on a private helicopter flight to the Tuludi Sky Suite where they will spend an exhilarating night under a blanket of a million stars. Surrounded by nothing but the sounds of the Okavango Delta, this once-in-a-lifetime experience that blends adventure and romance is simply irresistible.
The final leg sees guests flown into a private concession in the northern Okavango Delta to the new and exclusive Duke’s Camp – sister camp to Jack’s, where the adventure began. Luxurious safari tents pitched on raised wooden decks offer front-row seats to this world famous UNESCO World Heritage Site. During their stay,…
