Shangri-La Amex Offer: Get 20% Off Canadian Hotels

A new Amex Offer has surfaced that allows you to earn 20% of your total purchases as a statement credit by using your American Express cards at Shangri-La hotels in Canada until March 31, 2023.

This offer will give you up to $150 back, which would require you to spend at least $750 during the offer period. If you’re eyeing a stay at one of the two Canadian properties in Toronto or Vancouver, be sure to take advantage of this 20% discount offer.

Shangri-La Hotels: 20% Back as a Statement Credit

With this offer, you’ll earn 20% back of your total purchase as a statement credit at Shangri-La hotels in Canada, up to a total of $150, equivalent to $750 of total spend.  The total cost after all taxes and fees are accounted for will count as the total purchase.

Eligible use cases include transactions made at the Shangri-La Toronto, Shangri-La Vancouver, or at the Shangri-La Amex website for one of these two properties. 

Each time an eligible transaction is made, this offer will be triggered, and you can expect 20% back in the form of a statement credit.

The terms and conditions state that the statement credit will be applied within 90 days of the offer expiry date, but it will most likely show up within a few days after the transaction.

This offer expires on March 31, 2023, and there’s no registration cap. 

It’s worth noting that the 20% back as a statement credit technically only applies to room rates and room charges, but items such as gift cards purchased at the front desk are virtually indistinguishable. Thus, if you plan to eat at the hotel restaurant(s) or use the spa, you can ask for those purchases to be processed as a regular hotel charge.
