Earn Double Aeroplan Points on Air Canada Flights

Air Canada has launched the “The World Is Big, So Is Our Sale” promotion, which offers double Aeroplan points earned on bookings and discounts on cash flights throughout its network.

Flights must be booked by 11:59pm Pacific time on January 10, 2023 for travel between January 13, 2023 and December 15, 2023, so you’ll need to act quickly if you think you’ll benefit from the offer.

If you have any plans to book paid flights with Air Canada for 2023, this represents a great way to boost your Aeroplan balance on flights that you’d take anyway.

Earn Double Aeroplan Points on Air Canada Flights

With Air Canada’s “The World Is Big, So Is Our Sale” promotion, you can earn double Aeroplan points on paid Air Canada flights for most of 2023. The amount of points you’ll earn depends on the fare purchased and the distance flown.

You’ll need to register on Air Canada’s website first, and then you’ll need to book a flight by 11:59pm Pacific time on January 10, 2023. As long as you’ve met these requirements, you’ll earn double Aeroplan points on Air Canada flights between January 13, 2023 and December 15, 2023.

All fares except for Economy (Basic) fares are eligible for double Aeroplan points, and you stand to earn more points if you book a higher fare. The bonus will give you anywhere from 50–300% total Aeroplan points, which is based on the original fare class booked.

With this promotion, you’d earn a total of 14,224 Aeroplan points for the same flights with an Economy (Flex) fare: 7,112 from the base accumulation, and another 7,112 with the 100% promotional bonus, for a total of 200%.

If you were to book in different fare classes, your total bonus would differ, since Air Canada’s fares come with different base Aeroplan accumulation rates:

  • Economy (Standard) fares have a 50% base accumulation, and with the 100% bonus, you’d earn 7,112 Aeroplan points (100% total).
  • Economy (Latitude) fares have a 125% base accumulation, and with the 100% bonus, you’d earn 17,780 Aeroplan points (250% total).
  • Premium Economy (Lowest & Flexible) fares have a 125% base accumulation, and with the 100% bonus, you’d earn…
