Review: The Westin Turtle Bay Resort & Spa, Mauritius

During a trip to Mauritius, my wife Ashley and I stayed at three Marriott Bonvoy properties on the island nation. To wrap up our Marriott tour, we spent a night at The Westin Turtle Bay Resort & Spa, Mauritius.

Located in the Balaclava region on the northwest coast of Mauritius, The Westin Turtle Bay Resort & Spa is in a location that’s particularly known for its breathtaking sunsets.

Before my visit, I’d read many positive reviews about this property, and I was keen to compare it with the other Marriott properties we experienced during our trip.

The Westin Turtle Bay Resort & Spa, Mauritius – Booking

This time, I booked our stay through Marriott Luminous, a preferred partner program. After we launched our luxury travel agency, Prince Collection, I was keen to see the benefits offered through the program in action. 

The average cash rate for a standard room at this hotel typically falls between $400–450 (USD) per night. Interestingly, this rate remains quite consistent throughout the year, and doesn’t vary much with different seasons.

At the time of our stay, it was possible to book this property using Marriott Bonvoy points; however, that appears to no longer be the case. I wasn’t able to find any award availability for the next year when I went to write this review.

As for the cash rate, I was quite satisfied with the overall value from our stay. Amongst other benefits, we received a $100 (USD) property credit, which we used to indulge in a great dinner.
