The Henry Hotel Roost Bacolod Review: A Comprehensive Look at Accommodations and Amenities
As a travel blogger who’s always out and about, I’ve stayed at hundreds of accommodations all over the Philippines – some for leisure and some for work. From luxury five-star hotels to cheap hostels, I couldn’t count how many places I’ve been to, but only a handful left a mark. One of them is The Henry Hotel Roost in Bacolod.
Don’t get me wrong, it’s not a luxurious hotel with all the glitz and glam. To be honest, what made me like this hotel is its originality and simplicity, one that’s memorable enough that it makes you remember the beauty of Bacolod. It truly is a ‘modern perch, Negrensified’. Let me tell you in detail why.
Overview of the hotel
The Henry Hotel has seven hotels around the Philippines. One is The Henry Hotel Roost Bacolod, a 19-room boutique hotel in Bacolod City, a progressive city in the Western Visayas region of the Philippines. According to TripAdvisor, the boutique hotel ranks 8 out of the 52 B&Bs and inns in Bacolod, with an average of 5.0 out of 5.0 stars apart from getting excellent reviews from its guests. It’s a feat for the hotel, as it stands out in the top 10 inns that tourists love to book for accommodation.
Regarding design, the hotel boasts artful interiors through nature-inspired art and hand-painted murals by local artists. Around the hotel, you’ll see beautiful artwork featuring different endemic birds of Negros Province, making you appreciate the natural wonders of the province through local crafts.
What sets it apart from other hotels is its indoor rainforest-inspired atrium and a restaurant serving various local and international dishes. For guests’ convenience, they also have a daily breakfast buffet, a 24-hour front desk, luggage storage, and concierge services.
Location and Travel Distances
Aside from the hotel’s unique local charm and exceptional service, it’s worth mentioning that it sits in a very convenient location in Bacolod, along the streets of BS Aquino Drive and Lacson Street. While staying here, I had no problem accessing popular locations since most places are just a short kilometer from the hotel. I got to visit tourist attractions like the Negros Museum, The San Sebastian Cathedral, and Bacolod Public Plaza.
