We were fortunate to witness some incredible sunsets in Australia during our Australian road trip. Whilst I love a good sunrise, there’s just something about sunset that I especially look forward to.
It’s the perfect way to end a day of exploring, preferably with a cold beer in hand and my favourite tunes playing in the background.
There’s nothing quite like the sun setting in Australia, and I have definitely witnessed the best of the best.
These sunset locations in Australia are only from places we have personally visited and found the sunsets to be spectacular.

The Best Sunset Spots in Australia
In no particular order, here are the best places to catch a sunset in Australia…
1. Strahan, Tasmania
There are two reasons to visit the town of Strahan on the west coast of Tasmania. One is to do the World Heritage Gordon River Cruise, and the other is to witness the brilliant sunset.
I’m telling you, it’s like nature’s own private light show. The way the sun paints the sky in hues of pink, orange, and gold is something you’ve got to see to believe.
You can catch this stunning display from spots like Ocean Beach or the iconic Hogarth…
