Understanding Greece
Greece, officially known as the Hellenic Republic, is located in the southern Mediterranean between Italy and Turkey. With its 227 inhabited islands and a land area of 132,000 square kilometers, Greece offers a diverse range of landscapes and experiences that enchants its visitors to keep them returning for years to come.
From the historic city of Athens to the picturesque islands, Greece is a treasure trove of ancient history, stunning beaches, and breathtaking natural beauty. With a population of just under 11 million people, Greece is known for its warm hospitality (seriously, Greek people are so friendly), delicious cuisine, and vibrant culture.
Greece Travel Itinerary
There are endless amounts of options on how to spend your time exploring Greece, but I would definitely recommend an island hopping tour that begins and ends in two different islands with airports (to maximize your time there).

- Ios
- Santorini
- Mykonos
- Crete
- Naxos
- Rhodes
- Corfu
It really just depends on how long you’ll have in the country and how much you’d like to squeeze in. I’d also recommend reading my guide to the Best Greek Islands To Visit for more information on all these places!
