One of the biggest attractions for families to the Gold Coast is the abundance of theme parks. It’s the Theme Park Capital of Australia, and the place to go if you want a little adventure and fun on your family holiday.

But with so many to choose from, it can be hard to decide what are the best Gold Coast theme parks and which ones to visit, so to help you out, we’ve listed the six theme parks in the Gold Coast in order of our best to our worst, so you can decide which ones to visit.

The Best Theme Parks in the Gold Coast: Best To Worst

Here’s a rundown of what you’ll find at each park to help you plan your Gold Coast holiday.

1. Warner Bros. Movie World

Movie World is our favourite Gold Coast theme park, hands down. This park is for the movie lovers in the house, for the kidlets that adore the Looney Tunes characters like Goofy and Tweety bird (my personal favourite), and those who want a little action.

Every day, the Star Parade brings magic to life with Looney Tunes characters like Bugs Bunny, Scooby Doo and superheroes like Batman putting on a show down Main Street. Your kids will love it and Dads are sure to love cat woman!

The WB Fun Zone is the place for smaller children with rides and shows and characters roaming around.

Stunt Show at Movie World - Gold Coast, Australia

The action packed Hollywood Stunt Driver show will entertain all family members (although be careful with the little ones, as the loud noises may spook them).

The show is full of bangs, screeches, and high adrenalin fun. I enjoyed it far more than I thought I would.

There are plenty of thrill rides, like Green Lantern and Superman Escape, Scooby-Doo Spooky Coaster Next Generation, to suit the older children and adults.

2. Dreamworld

For those visiting with teens, Dreamworld is the best option. Teens will love the Zombie Evilution ride – The Battle for Kevil Hill, addition as well as the Big 8 Thrill Rides such as the Giant Drop and the Tower of Terror, my personal favourite.

There are also family favourites such as the Thunder River Rapids and Log Ride. And the younger children will be rapt to visit Wiggles World and Madagascar Madness to meet all their favourite characters and enjoy some epic rides.

Dreamworld also has many animal encounters and wildlife shows to enjoy. I like to have my lunch at the cafe in front of Tiger Island just before the show starts. Then…
