Visitors can sample local treats such as savory chowder and chocolate so delicious that it tastes like it was handmade by the sugar plum fairy. Revelers can also tour art galleries, boutique shops, and Christmas-themed craft booths. Santa’s elves are on standby ready to assist shoppers with free gift wrapping. One of the grand highlights of Christmas by the Sea is a spirited Christmas parade that features a marching band playing Christmas classics, a jovial plush lobster, and several Christmas-themed floats. Depending on the year, revelers may watch the parade under a light dusting of snow.
