If you’re not familiar with the Red Sox, and Fenway Park, then allow me to give you a brief overview.

The Boston Red Sox is one of the most storied franchises in Major League Baseball, beginning all the way back to their founding year of 1901.

Originally known as the Boston Americans, they were one of the eight charter members of the American League.

In 1903, they won their first World Series, defeating the Pittsburgh Pirates.

The early years of the Red Sox were marked by success, with four more World Series championships in 1912, 1915, 1916, and 1918.

However, the team’s fortunes took a dramatic turn in 1920 when they traded away Babe Ruth to the New York Yankees. This trade is known as the “Curse of the Bambino,” and would haunt the Red Sox for decades, as they failed to win another World Series until 2004, making it the longest championship drought in baseball history.
