Myrtle Beach in South Carolina is where the air is hotter, the winds are stronger, and the accents thicker.

If you’re dreaming of balmy beach days and silvery white sands, with classic American amusements thrown in for good measure, then a 3-day trip to Myrtle Beach may be on the calling cards.

Though Myrtle Beach is well known for its shopping facilities, so if you do come from a place where good shopping is hard to come by, you may want to incorporate that into your itinerary.

It’s also known for its nightclubs and live entertainment in the evening, which we skipped as we were traveling with our kids, and we also skipped Myrtle Waves Water Park and Family Kingdom Amusement Park as these are really summer attractions and we visited in winter.
