April is one of the most beautiful months in Prague — because it’s when the cherry blossoms burst into bloom. It’s one of the most blissful times to visit this city.
After spending most of February and March traveling, I was delighted to spend an entire month within the city of Prague. It wasn’t very exciting — but it was exactly what I needed.

Highlights
Cherry blossom season. It’s so fleeting and such a beautiful time to be in Prague. I love how my neighborhood is particularly awash in cherry blossoms!
Hosting Easter dinner in Prague. Charlie and I had several friends over, and we had a lovely day. Klara made vitello tonnato, Charlie made roasted lamb and mashed potatoes, and I made dessert (more on that below).
Really bonding with the cats this month. Charlie is Lewis’s human, and he usually just thinks I’m “the lady,” but this month Charlie went on a business trip and we got to bond and cuddle together.
And now Murray and I have bonded to a point where he sleeps against me every night, for at least a bit. I think I’m officially Murray’s human now.

Celebrating two years of marriage. Charlie and I spent our anniversary at one of our favorite Prague restaurants, Aromi, eating one of our favorite dishes, their truffle pasta.
My first vintage-fashion-by-the-kilo sale. I ended up getting a Valentino jacket and a Max Mara blazer for just 55 EUR, as well as a not-Hermès-but-clearly-Hermès-inspired scarf that felt gloriously silky for just 5 EUR. It was amazing what was just hanging out on the racks!
Both of them are a bit big for me, so I might get them tailored down — or sell them for a reasonable price, as larger clothes are often tough to find in Europe.


Challenges
Not much bad happened this month, other than some boring business stuff that was more annoying than anything else.
We did take the cats for an outside visit for the first time ever, taking them out onto our neighborhood square in their carriers, with them on leashes and one door open. Before today, they only went outside to go to the vet.
