While we expected to admire some cool cars, we ended up immersed in a buzzing scene filled with live racing energy, rare vehicles, and unforgettable moments. Whether you’re into classic cars, muscle cars, or modern engineering marvels, this is one stop in Munich you don’t want to miss.
A Unique Experience Beyond a Typical Car Museum – Discover Cars For Sale (Yes, For Sale)
We visited Motorworld Munich on our last day in the city, after visiting the Residenz Palace.
This was possible because Motorworld München is open until later (some things inside are closed, but not an issue – I will tell you more about this below).
Even if my feet were hurting me, I did not want to leave without visiting this hidden gem in Munich for car lovers. And I was sure my son will love it too!
I knew from a friend who recommended me to go to Motorworld Munich, that it is housed in a repurposed industrial railway hall in Freimann. So this sprawling 75,000 m² complex is big – and it is an interesting combination of a garage, exhibition, and center for classic and new cars + sales. There are also cafes and an events center! And, of course, souvenir shops – and even some stalls with fun activities for kids.
BTW: be prepared to be VERY tempted to buy some cars. I saw a Corvette and a Challenger + a Rolls Royce that I wanted to buy!
You can buy there new cars, old cars, classic cars, tuned cars, and motorcycles.
Oh, and there is a Formula car on the ceiling!
So Motorworld München is not a museum – it’s a living, breathing automotive lifestyle center. You’ll walk among vintage vehicles, rare sports cars, concept designs, and even dealerships offering some of the cars for sale. You can also see various sports cars, including Formula 1 or rally cars!

By the way: Do not think that Motorworld Munich is only about cars!
