During our recent Malaysia visit for the second edition of Tourism Malaysia Media Explore Race (TOMER) 2023, 80 media practitioners from Malaysia, Indonesia, Thailand, Singapore, Brunei, and the Philippines were given tasks to visit some of the iconic spots of Selangor and one of them is the historic Bandar Palace Jugra.

Historical Background
Bandar Palace Jugra was built in 1899 by Sultan Alauddin Sulaiman Shah, the fifth Sultan of Selangor. The palace is also known as Istana Alaeddin.
The palace served as the official residence of the Sultan until his death in 1938. Sultan Salahuddin Abdul Aziz Shah, the eighth Sultan of Selangor, was born in the palace in 1926.
