We believe that every traveler should know what they’re getting into and should be informed of things they might want to know before you go, so we’ve pulled together our best and worst things about Australia so you can go with a clear idea of what to expect!

The Best of Australia: What are the pros?

Ever the optimists, let’s begin with the pros of visiting Australia. These are the positive things you can expect on your trip down under.

Beaches

It is really hard to beat an Aussie beach. I can safely say that, as I have experienced so many of them around the world. Australia really does have the world’s best beaches.

As the biggest island nation, it has over 10,000 beaches to explore.

The majority of these are natural, unspoilt and wild or in sheltered coves, the sand glows white or golden, the water is clear, and the surf is usually pumping.

Even the city beaches are pretty damn beautiful.

There is nowhere like the Outback. It’s barren, it’s gigantic, it’s red rock formations are unlike anywhere else in the world.

Uluru is possibly one of the world’s most famous attractions, and it’s seeped in ancient aboriginal culture.

What makes the outback so special is not only its unique landscape, but the ancient cultures who lived here.

Diverse Landscapes

Australia’s beautiful landscapes are as diverse and different as they get. You can find tropical jungles on the East Coast, pristine islands surrounding the Great Barrier Reef, white sand beaches, wetlands, desert landscapes, snow-capped mountains and more.

Whatever you’re looking for, you can find it in Australia. The only downside is the huge distance you have to travel between different landscapes, but it’s a privilege to witness all the variety of nature spots across the country.
