Jumbled up thoughts of fear and my trying to overcome that with bravery raced through my mind as I waited at the base of the Sky Tower, New Zealand’s tallest building, and home to the AJ Hackett Auckland Sky Jump & Sky Walk.

I’m freaking out. I’m about to jump off a 192 meter high building here in Auckland, New Zealand, and I’m sh*t scared of heights!

Should I do it?

I knew jumping off the tower would make a good story for our readers, but I also knew that my fear of heights was very real and one that I possibly couldn’t overcome.

I mean 192 meters if pretty bloody high.

I paced back and forth, taking deep breaths and trying not to think too much about it.

Eventually, my bravery overcame my fear, and I did it. I did the jump.

Want to know what it was like? Here is what it was like bungee jumping from the highest building in New Zealand, Sky Walk Auckland!

About Auckland Skywalk and Jump

Auckland Sky Tower

The AJ Hackett Auckland Sky Jump & Sky Walk is a thrilling experience at the top of New Zealand’s most famous structure, the Sky Tower, which is the tallest free-standing structure in the Southern Hemisphere and the tallest tower in NZ.

It’s most famous for the high skywalk around the outside ring of the tallest building, taking in breathtaking views of the city and beyond.

The Sky Jump is an exhilarating free-fall experience, where you jump from the 53rd floor, attached to a steel cable.

If you have friends and family coming to watch you, they can purchase an elevator pass so they can watch you from the Sky Deck.

The Sky Walk is located on the corner of Federal Street and Victoria Streets in Auckland CBD.

New Zealand’s fearsome rugby team the “All Blacks” have been intimidating opponents for years.

All over the country there are options for leaping off some structure or natural settings.

If you want adrenalin, if you want to FREAK YOURSELF OUT, come to New Zealand.
