25+ Travel Books For Kids To Inspire Wanderlust For Travel

When I look back on my childhood, I think about all the days I spend fantasising about the world and pretending to be an explorer. It was my love of books as a kid that inspired my lust for travel, and I would put it down to the stories I read that made me the adventurer I am today.

When I grew up and eventually was able to travel alone, I remember visiting London and everything was all so familiar – because it was the setting for so many books I’d read as a kid. What was unfamiliar was the thrill of ‘being there.’

There’s no doubt that books inspire kids to travel, though it may not be immediately after reading, but long in the future when they grew up to be independent adults.
