A few years ago, we were going on a cruise and the excursions through the cruise line just weren’t fitting our needs—they were too expensive, there were too few options, and, most importantly, they weren’t flexible and couldn’t provide enough information for me to make an informed opinion. At the price they were charging per person, I wanted more than a tiny little description of the excursion. I called the excursions desk and they couldn’t give me anything more than what was listed. It really wasted my time.
Then my travel agent suggested Shore Excursions Group.
Shore Excursions Group is a company that specializes in providing high-quality shore excursions for cruise passengers. They offer easy options for tour separate from your cruise line.
I went to their website and plugged in our cruise information. To my delight a host of excursions popped up for each port including the same one I had been trying to research with the cruise line. Awesome news! We booked right away and had an amazing time.
I’ve made a YouTube video (below) that shows how to navigate the site and some of my other thoughts—I was especially impressed when they refunded our money once for an excursion we had book and then cancelled because the ship wasn’t in port when it was supposed to. They earned my trust and now I look at then before I look at the cruise line’s offerings.
What I like about Shore Excursions Group:
- High-Quality Excursions: They focus exclusively on shore excursions and emphasize offering high-quality experiences by local experts. They offer a wide variety of excursions in over 300 ports around the world, focusing on smaller group sizes to ensure a more personalized experience. This is really cool since a lot of excursions try to cram as many people as possible on a big tour bus.
- Diverse and Flexible Options: Their excursions range from cultural and historical tours to active adventures, scenic tours, culinary experiences, and…
