AirAsia Philippines leads the way in inclusive cabin crew recruitment.
Manila, Philippines — AirAsia Philippines is leading the way with a groundbreaking approach that challenges stereotypes and promotes an inclusive cabin crew recruitment process.
From August 20 to 29, 2025, every Wednesday from 10AM to 12NN, the World’s Best Low Cost airline will host cabin crew aspirants who can wear a more casual outfit, including a white t-shirt, jeans, and casual rubber shoes for males, and a white shirt, denim skirt, and heels for females, instead of the usual formal attire with full make-up.
Aspirants to cabin crew will be immersed in a more realistic work environment, abandoning traditional runway screenings in favor of a more service-oriented and guest-focused approach. Additionally, they will gain a glimpse into the Allstar culture, providing each candidate with a taste of what a day in the skies is like, even before being hired.
“We are reimagining the way we do our recruitment process to focus more on the essentials—talent, attitude and skills needed to become a successful cabin crew. Awarded for the 8th consecutive time as World’s Best Low-Cost Cabin Crew by Skytrax, not only do we live and breathe the standards of safety, we make sure that the work environment is fun and inclusive. By changing the game, we also wish to take part in the purposeful journeys of cabin crew aspirants who are deserving to live the sky high dream,” AirAsia Philippines Chief Executive Officer Suresh Bangah
Future Allstars must bring an updated CV or resume and a recent, non-AI-generated photo. They should be prepared to showcase their brightest smiles while meeting the minimum height requirement, which is proportionate to their Body Mass Index (BMI).
AirAsia welcomes applications from both college graduates and senior high school graduates. Fluency in written and spoken English and Filipino, or being multilingual, is an advantage.
AirAsia Philippines is hosting its fourth open day recruitment, creating opportunities for three batches this year while also preparing for next year’s intake requirements.
