Team Out of Town Blog Hub (Outoftownblog.com) – Starting this August, Business Class passengers on board Philippine Airlines (PAL) flights to North America can now taste the best of Filipino food, courtesy of Filipino Chef JP Anglo. The Philippine flag carrier offers Chef JP’s food creations on its nonstop flights from Manila to Los Angeles, San Francisco, New York, Vancouver, and Toronto.
Renowned for his creative Filipino dishes, Chef JP established his own restaurant, Sarsa, located in the Makati business district of Metro Manila. He recently ventured out to the United Arab Emirates to open his new restaurant, Kooya, in Dubai.
“Elevating Philippine Airlines’ in-flight dining experience is part of our thrust to become more customer-centric and offer more value to our passengers, especially on our popular nonstop flights to the United States and Canada,” said PAL President & COO Capt. Stanley K. Ng.
To launch his special collaboration with Philippine Airlines, Chef JP flew from Manila to Los Angeles aboard flight PR112. As the PAL Boeing 777-300ER flew across the Pacific, Chef JP prepared and served his signature dishes— Chicken Inasal and Bangus ala Pobre.
While in Los Angeles, Chef JP will explore the California food scene and try various restaurants to gain inspiration for his future dishes with Philippine Airlines.
“We’ve had an enjoyable journey developing different delectable dishes for our Philippine Airlines passengers,” says Ria Domingo, PAL Vice President of Marketing. “This collaboration with a Filipino culinary expert will showcase Filipino food for the global community.”
PAL flies from Manila to Los Angeles twice daily using state-of-the-art B777-300ER aircraft. PAL’s Business Class service offers pre-flight concierge, full-flat beds, food and beverage selections designed by renowned chefs like Chef JP Anglo, and world-class caring service from PAL’s flight attendants … all while flying direct to your destinations overseas.
