Porter Airlines Launches New Routes from Ottawa and Toronto

Last week, Porter Airlines announced the first routes that its new fleet of Embraer E195-E2 jets will operate from Toronto Pearson International Airport. The Toronto-based airline has just revealed another domestic route to launch from Toronto Pearson in February, as well as a number of new routes to depart from Ottawa as of March.

Beginning on March 27, 2023, Porter Airlines will fly from Ottawa to New York (EWR), Boston, Quebec City, and Thunder Bay on its De Haviland Dash 8-400 aircraft. Furthermore, the airline will fly between Toronto Pearson and Edmonton as of February 14, 2023 on its new Embraer E195-E2 aircraft.

Porter Airlines Launches New Routes from Ottawa

The four new routes scheduled to depart from Ottawa will be to New York (EWR), Boston, Quebec City, and Thunder Bay. These flights come in addition to the new service between Toronto Pearson and Ottawa that’s set to begin on February 1, 2023, as well as its existing routes to Fredericton, Moncton, and Halifax.

Porter Airlines will also continue to operate flights between Ottawa and Billy Bishop Toronto City Airport, giving passengers the option of flying into either airport.

All new destinations will be served by Porter Airlines’s older fleet of De Haviland Dash 8-400 turboprop aircraft, offering a 2-2 all-economy configuration with no middle seats. 

The new routes from Ottawa are all set to begin on March 27, 2023. 

The Ottawa (YOW)–New York (EWR) route will operate twice daily, with round-trip fares starting at $352 (CAD).

The flight times from Ottawa (YOW) to New York (EWR) are as follows:

• PD2323 Ottawa (YOW) to New York (EWR), departing 7:55am and arriving 9:25am
• PD2339 Ottawa (YOW) to New York (EWR), departing 4:10pm and arriving 5:40pm

And the flight times from New York (EWR) to Ottawa (YOW) are as follows:

• PD2324 New York (EWR) to Ottawa (YOW), departing 10am and arriving 11:40am 
• PD2340 New York (EWR) to Ottawa (YOW), departing 6:25pm and arriving 8:10pm

The Ottawa (YOW)–Boston (BOS) route will operate once daily, with round-trip fares starting at $330 (CAD).

Between Ottawa (YOW) and Boston (BOS), the flight times are as follows:

• PD2345 Ottawa (YOW) to Boston (BOS), departing 4pm and arriving 5:10pm
• PD2346 Boston (BOS) to Ottawa (YOW), departing 6pm and arriving 7:34pm 

The Ottawa (YOW)–Quebec City (YQB) route will operate once daily, with round-trip fares starting at $322 (CAD).
