About Super Nintendo World
This all started when in May of 2015, a partnership was announced between Nintendo and Universal Parks & Resorts as a way to boost the declining gaming revenue and console market share.
The very first Super Nintendo World was built in Universal Studios Japan in Osaka and soft-opened on December 26, 2020 and officially opened February 4, 2021.
Parallel to its construction in Osaka, construction broke ground at Universal Studios Hollywood in early 2019 and eventually opened on February 17, 2023 which was perfect timing for the release of The Super Mario Bros. Movie a month and a half later.
