Crescencia Food and Coffee was established in 2016 by Crescencia “Nene” Aniban, a retired school teacher who wanted to provide a place for locals and tourists to enjoy delicious food and coffee.
Before opening the café, Nene had a small store selling local delicacies such as bibingka, puto, and kakanin. She also brewed coffee for her customers using a traditional coffee pot and local beans. Her coffee became so popular that she decided to open a café where she could serve her coffee alongside her homemade food.
The café started as a small business with only a few tables and chairs, but it quickly gained a following among locals and tourists who appreciated the homemade food and the cozy atmosphere. Nene’s coffee, made from locally sourced beans, was also a hit among coffee lovers.
As the café gained popularity, Nene expanded the menu to include more dishes, including Filipino breakfast items such as tocino, longganisa, and bangus. She also started serving specialty coffee drinks such as lattes, cappuccinos, and iced coffee.
