2024 How to Register Your SIM Card in the Philippines

SIM Registration Guide: Your Guide to SIM Card Registration with Globe, SMART, DITTO, TNT, and More

The registration of SIM cards is a mandatory process that all mobile users in the Philippines have to go through. The process involves providing personal information and identification documents to the service provider. Failure to register the SIM card can lead to deactivating the user’s mobile number.

Smart, Globe, and DITO are the three major mobile network operators in the Philippines. These companies have launched online SIM registration portals to make the process more convenient for their customers. Users can register their SIM cards through these portals or through the mobile applications provided by the service providers.

The SIM Registration Act of 2022 requires all SIM card owners to register their SIMs for mobile internet, call, and text services. This law applies to all SIMs, including those in card and electronic form used for mobile phones, prepaid WiFi kits, or other devices. The law aims to prevent using unregistered SIM cards in illegal activities such as fraud, scams, and terrorism.
