The Amazing Paisley Park Tour And Prince Tour Of Minneapolis. Do This!

If you’re a fan of Prince Rogers Nelson, or simply known as Prince, then a visit to Prince’s Home in Minneapolis, known as Paisley Park, is a must.

Armed with a song in my heart, a Prince T-Shirt and a purple glittery butterfly tattoo on my shoulder, we set off to look inside Paisley Park on a special tour that takes you into the rooms and hallways where some of Prince’s finest work was written.

And it wasn’t just Prince who found inspiration at Paisley Park. In 1987, Prince opened the home to creatives looking for a retreat to create music.

Artists such as Madonna, Lizzo, Tevin Campbell, and REM have recorded albums here, and the home also featured in the Sign O’ The Times Concert Film and many more movies.

Needless to say, it’s not just any house in Minneapolis. Whether you’re a Prince fan, or just interested in the musical history of the area, a Paisley Park tour is a must for anyone visiting the city.

About Paisley Park, Prince’s Home in Minneapolis

Paisley Park was Prince property, located in Chanhassen, a 20-minute drive outside of downtown Minneapolis in Minnesota. It’s more than just a structure; it’s a musical sanctuary and a symbol of Prince’s creative genius.

The $10 million, 65,000-square foot mansion was completed in 1987 and served as Prince’s residence, recording studio, and concert venue.

It was designed by architect Bret Thoeny, with Prince’s own artistic flare added in for good measure.

As you walk around inside Paisley Park, you can see how the space was intricately crafted to reflect Prince’s artistic style, with plush purple furnishings and quirky artwork at every turn.
