Apartment 1B Offers An Extraordinary Dining Experience in Manila
The Henry Hotel Manila’s beautiful garden area called The Lawn is a true oasis you’ll surprisingly find in the busy Metro Manila. Last November 10, 2023, this is where the stylish and elegant hotel featured the restaurant nestled in its grounds, Apartment 1B, for an exclusive grand food-tasting event for its gourmet creations.
The delectable spread aims to bring global food and beverage standards to the local culinary scene and came as samples for us to experience what Apartment 1B offers.
We indulged in a delightful culinary journey, savoring a symphony of flavors from a diverse array of dishes carefully crafted by their talented chefs. From salad, pasta, and charcuterie to carving, Apartment 1B’s culinary creations were an irresistible symphony of textures and tastes that left us wanting more. Some of the dishes I liked the most were the Grilled Mango BBQ Chicken and the Truffle and Shrooms pasta.
All these offerings are part of the restaurant’s commitment to providing an exceptional dining experience that blends international flavors with local realities and practices.
Some of my favorites were the upcoming Filipino deli brand Krieger’s treats, perfect for celebrations, such as sausages and cold cuts. There were also cold drinks from the award-winning Filipino beer Elias, recognized as the best beer in Asia.
We also enjoyed Concha y Toro’s wide selection of free-flowing wines. It’s incredible to be finally taking delight in homegrown brands, which shows that the Philippines can make a mark.
Apartment 1B Executive Chef Nikko Roa met the guests personally and underscored their gratitude and warm welcome to everyone. This was also when I learned the Henry Hotel Manila offers different spots for special occasions – whether you want it grand or intimate. The Lawn, for example, can cater to more than a hundred guests, or for smaller events, they can offer the hotel courtyard.
Overall, it was an experience with a vibrant atmosphere filled with lively socials, great live acoustic music, and unforgettable food prepared with the finest ingredients.
