Proximity to Tagbilaran City
Alona Beach is around 20 kilometers from the port of Tagbilaran and about 2 kilometers from the Bohol-Panglao International Airport. The beach is located in the barangay (village) of Tawala, which is part of the municipality of Panglao. The municipality of Panglao is divided into two barangays, Tawala and Danao. The neighboring municipalities of Dauis and Baclayon are located to the north of Panglao Island, while the municipality of Loay is located to the east.
The proximity of Alona Beach to Tagbilaran City makes it a popular destination for both locals and tourists. Tagbilaran City is the capital of Bohol province, and visitors can easily reach Alona Beach from the city by taking a taxi or a tricycle. The journey takes around 30 minutes by car or motorcycle or around 45 minutes by tricycle.
