Half Moon Bay’s Best Kept Secret

Cameron's Pub interior in Half Moon Bay with British-themed decor

It was happen-chance that I found Cameron’s Pub, Restaurant, and Inn in Half Moon Bay while on a work trip, and I couldn’t be happier that I stumbled in. A few minutes from Half Moon Bay is a bright red double-decker bus inviting you for a pint or a drink.

Interview with Cameron, Founder of the Pub

I was lucky enough to visit when Cameron was working. Check out our full interview with him here:

Cameron’s Restaurant is a true English pub that has been serving customers for over 30 years. You can admire the double-decker bus and a dog-friendly patio with outdoor seating resembling a beer hall. There are signs all over the restaurant and inn inviting you inside for a pint.

Once you walk inside is like walking right into a true English pub in the countryside of England, complete with a hearty welcome. The decor is what makes for the pub atmosphere. The walls are filled with cans collected from all over the world.

And, everywhere you look, there is an image of a famous British Royal or celebrity. There are china plates, posters, figurines, clocks . . . you name it, they have it! Cameron’s even has an English shop filled with traditional British food like pasties, bangers, and shepherd’s pie for you to take home.

The full bar boasts famous beer from the United Kingdom, like Fuller’s London Pride, which I ordered immediately. The main bar has cozy seats and standing room. The restaurant rooms (yes, there are several) have cozy nooks and crannies to enjoy your meal or a beer.

On the weekends, there is live music and karaoke, which truly provides the atmosphere of an English pub. There will be much fun in the evening on Friday and Saturday.

So Cameron took the good advice, found the current building, and thought the architecture looked like a pub inn. Now it’s THE go-to place in Half Moon Bay for a proper pint and one of the best places to visit in Half Moon Bay.

Cameron opened the pub and restaurant and began collecting English trinkets to fill the restaurant inn….
