Alaska Airlines Mileage Plan: Global Getaways for Spring 2024

Alaska Airlines Mileage Plan has launched a new recurring promotion called Global Getaways as part of its recently revamped loyalty program. 

Through the promotion, you can benefit from discounts on award bookings of up to 50%, either to various destinations or with specific airlines available through the program.

For the inaugural Global Getaways promotion, Mileage Plan members can redeem miles at a discount for trips to beach destinations across the world.

What Are Alaska Airlines Mileage Plan Global Getaways?

Global Getaways is a new recurring promotion available to members of Alaska Airlines Mileage Plan.

Each quarter, Alaska Airlines will release a set of offers to select international destinations or with specific airlines in various classes of service, with a discount of up to 50% on award bookings.

The discounted awards must be booked during a set period of time, for travel during a specific set of dates. A limited number of discounted award seats are available on a first-come, first-served basis.

As per the terms and conditions, travel must originate in the United States, so if you’re based elsewhere, you’ll need to take a positioning flight to the US first.

You can add a stopover of up to 14 days on an eligible one-way international itinerary, while two stopovers are permitted on a round-trip itinerary (one per direction of travel).

Lap infants aren’t allowed on international partner awards, which means that you’d need to book a separate seat at the prevailing rate.

Promotional pricing is reflected in the award search results on the Alaska Airlines Mileage Plan website. Simply select “Use miles” and look for fares at the promotional rates in the search results. 

Then, proceed with booking as you normally would. 

Alaska Airlines Mileage Plan Global Getaways for April 2024

The theme of the Global Getaways promotion for Spring 2024 is beach destinations across the world.

This time, you can book Global Getaways from April 3–30, 2024, for travel from September 1–November 30, 2024. The promotional pricing applies to flights in economy and premium economy with Alaska Airlines and partner airlines.

Here’s a rundown of the “starting at” prices for this quarter’s Global Getaways promotion:
