Two girls walking through a park.

Our teenagers have traveled to many European destinations (lucky them!), and we decided to ask them for their favorite cities.

Unsurprisingly, they mentioned the obvious choices for European destinations to visit with teens – Paris and Rome, which offer not only historic and world-famous monuments to snap Instagram pictures with, but they have a vibrant culture that caters to a young crowd that seems to resonate with teens today.

Loving Paris as teens

While our teenagers absolutely loved Paris and Rome, there were some other European cities they picked that surprised us. So it inspired us to write this guide and share what places our teens loved in Europe, in case you’re looking for some cool places to visit with your teens.

Here are some European destinations our teens, or their friends, loved the most…

European Cities That Teenagers Love!

Paris

Let’s get the obvious ones out of the way first! There is no doubt that The City of Lights is a fantastic city to visit due to its rich history, vibrant culture, and countless attractions that cater to younger crowds.

Teenagers love exploring iconic landmarks such as the Eiffel Tower and the Louvre Museum, as well as exploring the charming back streets and neighborhoods, such as Montmartre and Le Marais. The city has a “cool vibe” known for its bohemian lifestyles, thriving art scene, high-end fashion, and world-class food.

Essentially, it’s a city to boast about. There is so much that is iconic about Paris, and nothing says “I’ve been to Europe” more than a photo of picnics under the Eiffel Tower or selfies in front of the Arc de Triomphe.

As well as being a backdrop to brag to your friends about, Paris has a lot to keep you entertained. It has numerous parks and gardens to relax in, or you can cruise along The Seine River and take in the scenic views of the city.

For those who like to get more cultured on their travels, you can find bustling streets filled with trendy boutiques, street performers, delicious crepe stands, and boulangeries filled to the brim with pastry heaven.

Overall, Paris is an exciting and diverse city, and while it can be overwhelming at times, it’s a destination that teenagers love and rave about.

Last year we visited 5 countries on our 4 week Europe trip, and our teens both said Paris was their favorite city! Here is what they recommend are the best things to do in Paris with teenagers and here are some important things to know before…
